He was a mental health counselor throughout his 20’s, beginning as one of the youngest ever Credentialed Alcoholism Counselors in New York State at age 21. Currently, Sal is developing an online coaching program for those suffering from gambling addiction that will offer an individualized approach centered around live help from a group of qualified coaches who have “walked the walk” of gambling devastation yet were able to make dramatic & sustained U-turns from their trips to addictive hell. Among Sal’s greatest joys are meandering in San Miguel with his wife, communing with his two adult daughters, dining, writing/storytelling, exploring self-help-oriented personal development, & singing a cappella standards at local karaoke & occasional weddings. He has spent the past 23 years in digital advertising, helping companies grow their most valuable resources of human capital & their bottom lines as well. Sal’s first book, a collection of autobiographical essays, “SALutations!” (print & audio versions are available on Amazon here), was published in 2018. Other projects, including a personal newsletter, are in the works. Sal is fond of saying, “A joy shared is a joy doubled; a trouble shared is one halved.”
